Book

The Telegraph Hill Dwellers, in a joint venture with City Lights Bookstore, has published a second edition of San Francisco’s Telegraph Hill by David F. Myrick.  The first edition, published in 1972, became a rare collector’s item.  The second edition is a lovingly updated coffee-table book, gorgeously illustrated with more than 300 photographs of San Francisco, offering juicy tidbits of all-but-forgotten local lore.  The second edition has 40 new pages of text and photographs, bringing the unique story of Telegraph Hill up to the turn of the century.  San Francisco’s Telegraph Hill is no cookie-cutter tourist guide, but a fiercely and unapologetically local history, with detailed building-by-building accounts of who lived where and what they did to whom.
